As part of the continuing upgrade of existing storm water facilities in the heart of Strathpine, this project included the following:
Of particular importance was the requirement to accommodate all existing vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout the site, as well as the arrangement of works around the shopping precinct through which the pipework was running.
As a result of these requirements a large portion of these works were undertaken after hours, with particular attention being paid to the temporary reinstatement of road after each nights work. Essentially, daily reinstatement of sections of road prior to 5.00am were required to allow businesses and road users to operate with minimal disruption.
Another innovation adopted under this contract was the utilisation of precast manholes and pits, which expedited the construction process and further minimised disruption to local enterprises.
Ongoing community liaison, by Doval, was also required in order to keep shop-owners abreast of the works.
The project was completed on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the Client.
